Frequently Asked Questions

Appointments booked directly through the Mentis Psychiatry website are self-pay. We do not bill insurance directly for these appointments. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement depends on your individual plan and is not guaranteed.

View our current availability and schedule online in just a few minutes. New-patient appointments are often available within 24-48 hours or less. 

Mentis. requires payment at the time of scheduling.  If you missed your appointment or need to reschedule, we are happy to find a time that will work for you. We do not reimburse for missed or canceled appointments. 

Only children 16 and under are seen at the office at this time.  Please email for an office appointment @ Ann@mentis-psychiatry.com   All others are seen through our secure, user-friendly virtual platform. 

It's simple.  Once you have scheduled your appointment you will receive an email confirmation with a meeting link. Click on the link at your scheduled appointment time to join our virtual session.  You are welcome to block your camera or leave it on during session.

We can use FaceTime, WhatsApp, and Skype or we can conduct an audio-only phone session. Reach out to me with your preference. 

Yes, Mentis is affiliated with a HIPPA compliant platform to conduct sessions.

Genetic testing is a simple procedure of swabbing your cheek and sending the sample to the lab.  There is an initial fee for most patients from Genomind.

I will review the results with you and we can make decisions for your treatment choices moving forward.  You will retain a copy for your permanent health record to share with all your clinicians.

Yes, there is an additional fee for preparation and consultation.
